Proud Mary Dutch Harbour is a tribute to Amsterdam, released in the year the city celebrates its 750th anniversary. The skirt displays the view from the IJ onto historic ships in the Amsterdam harbour. This version is executed using the transfer technique.
Proud Mary is a design by Dutch designers Koens & Middelkoop for Royal Delft. She is named after Mary II, the wife of stadtholder Willem III and a great lover and collector of Delft blue during the Golden Age. The figurine consists of four interchangeable parts: the skirt, the bodice, the collar and the head. This version is 17 cm high.
