Description
Proud Mary Wild Flower is the colorful (polychrome) Proud Mary. The flowers on her skirt are inspired by sketches and transfer sheets from 1930 by tile factory Westraven, which were rediscovered in the Royal Delft archives.
Proud Mary is a design by Dutch designers Koens & Middelkoop for Royal Delft. She is named after Mary II, the wife of stadtholder Willem III and a great lover and collector of Delft blue during the Golden Age. The figurine consists of four interchangeable parts: the skirt, the bodice, the collar and the head. This version is 17 cm high.
