The confrontation between a sculpture or a canvas and Van Dommelen evokes a powerful sensation, fed by the paradoxical tension between an almost primitive language of shapes and clearly referring to age-old art forms conveyed in a dynamic, vibrating and very modern colour scheme.
These sculptures are made of synthetic resin and are hand-painted.
