Pond with Water Lilies (1916)
From 1883 onwards, Monet lived in the village of Giverny, and worked on series of paintings that depicted the same subject in different light and weather conditions.
The subject of one of these series was the pond with water lilies in his own garden, which he eventually painted more than 250 times.
