This stylish wall plate “Sarah” is painted in Mucha’s internationally renowned style. Alphonse Mucha’s artworks transport you to Paris in 1887, when the Czech artist sought his fortune in the flamboyant French capital. Vibrant boulevards, dramatic theater performances, and streetlamps illuminating the secretive nightlife until the wee hours. This is the world in which painter Mucha brings his beloved style to life. Heinen Delfts Blauw revisits this vibrant, industrial period and translates the elegant Delftware style into a graceful world with a touch of color. A beautiful piece of Art Nouveau with a Dutch touch, brought together in an elegant wall plate. We named the wall plate Sarah, after the poster “The Lady of the Sarahs,” which Mucha created for the adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’s story of the same name. This tragic love story revolves around a dark-haired woman wearing the camellia flower, something we creatively recreate on the wall plate. This stunning portrait is a true work of art on the wall and with a little imagination, you can even sense the presence of the newly built Eiffel Tower.
