Here you will find the works of Amsterdam artist Jaqueline Schäfer. In 1989 she took her finals at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Until that moment, painting was something she mostly did for herself and didn’t share with many people. A way to express herself. When she discovered that it was also a means of communication, painting gained another dimension for her. She found her own style in a playful mix of clear shapes and bright, cheerful colours. She chose a figurative but not realistic image. Since 2004 she also makes statues, which we have in our collection. The so-called “Strange Birds” and the latest series “Cactuses” and “Happy Horses”.
