Eye Spy
The Miffy statue by Thé Tjong-Khing is called Eye Spy and is inspired by the modern children that seem to have less and less time to just be a child. ‘This Miffy is has many sides. She is wearing a Google Glass, she has an iPad, a smartphone and a smartwatch. She auditions for The Voice Kids – the handheld microphone – and she likes to dance in the disco on her shiny shoes. With her Art Paint Spray she makes graffiti. Thankfully, she also cares for nature, she has green fingers. Her parents are busy, busy, busy, and therefore she has her own latchkey. But sometimes it is all a little too much for her. Then she grabs her dummy and her stuffed bunny. And of course, she likes an ice cream every now and then. She cares for the world and hopes for peace – her V-sign necklace. She likes gaming – the white light on her face and the square eyes. She also loves sports; look at her back. She wants to travel the world with that.’
